Due dates for Filing Income tax returns extended

The Government has extended the due dates for filing Income tax returns by two months. Accordingly returns that were due to be filed by July 31, 2021 is now extended to September 30, 2021.

The due dates for corporates and firms whose accounts are required to be audited is extended from October 31 to November 30, 2021 that is by one month.

Claim of Input tax credits

Tax payers are adviced to please follow up with your vendors, to upload their suppliers Invoices, with correct GST Numbers so that they get reflected in the GSTR 2A to claim input credit

Input Tax Credits of April 2021 which are not appearing in GSTR-2A – As an
exception the Government has allowed Taxpayers to claim input tax of April 2021 even if it is not appearing in GSTR-2A provided the Suppliers upload
these invoice before 20th June 2021.
